Christmas in the Village

Sunday, December 8,  1-4 p.m.
Mill Race Historical Village
215 Griswold
Northville, Michigan

'Twas seventeen days before Christmas  --  our Village was quiet as a mouse.
But, delighted visitors were stirring to our Open House!
Everyone gathered in New School Church, which stood near
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be here.
Volunteers were busy in every venue
As they diligently planned an exciting menu.
Weavers Cottage shone bright as Guild members performed all over the place.
Weaving, knitting, spinning…and don’t forget bobbin lace.

Northville High band volunteered to play a few numbers.
While carolers entertained arriving new-comers.
Rotary Interact served up a delicious hot libation.
Tasty sweet treats were cause for serious anticipation.
Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts made quite the clatter
Baking home-made cookies – and no left-over batter.
Decorators galore were buzzing about
To welcome visitors to our halls all decked out.
J  M Mead is well stocked and festive indeed
Stop on by – come see what you’ll need.

Open to the public – no fee
