With seven runs in the first inning, The Northville Cubs 13U baseball team cruised to a 16-0 win over NFWB in Tuesday’s KVBSA league game.
Mike Conniff and Moose Tossounian led the 14-hit attack. Conniff was perfect at the dish with three hits. Tossounian also had three hits and drove in five runs.
NWFB’s line up had no answer for Alex Gaft. They managed just two hits off the Cubs pitcher. Gaft struck out three batters in his four innings of work. In addition to his hot hitting, Conniff came in to finish the game on the mound in the fifth inning, allowing no hits.
Eric Rice celebrated his birthday in style as he reached base three times with two hits and a hit by pitch.
The Cubs moved to 8-0-1 in league play and 24-3-1 for the season as they stayed on top of the Trammel Division. The Cubs are sponsored by both The Northville Sports Den and the Michigan Credit Union League.
