The following items are updates on cases in the 35th District Court, which serves Plymouth, Canton and Northville. Not all items, unless otherwise noted, reflect guilty pleas or convictions.

Tonia Latrice Atkins, 41, Ypsilanti

  • Arraigned on a charge of retail fraud committed in Canton on May 15, 2011
  • Pleaded guilty on Aug. 29, 2011
  • Referred to the probation department for a presentencing interview and sentencing

Michelle Leigh Baisden, 33, Novi

  • Charged with one count of retail fraud committed in Canton on June 22, 2011
  • Failed to appear for her pretrial hearing
  • A warrant has been issued for her arrest

Kristen Nicole Novak, 19, Canton

  • Violation of probation for a charge of assault and battery committed in Canton on March 30, 2009
  • Scheduled for a sentencing hearing with the probation department

Daniel Lee George, 52, Northville

  • A warrant has been issued for his arrest

Odeh Hani Sweis, 29, Plymouth

  • Charged with fishing without a license on July 22, 2011 in the City of Northville
  • Pretrial hearing held on August 29, 2011
  • Case disposed on a guilty plea
  • Sentenced to a one day delayed sentence and a $348 fine
