Crime Report: Accused Shoplifters Caught, Vehicle Damage Reported

Woman caught stealing from Kohl's

Northville Township Police arrested a woman on Nov. 17 who is accused of attempting to steal men's jeans, a tank top, a Sonoma pajama set and Vera Wang pajama pants from .

The 49-year-old Farmington woman attempted to get store credit on one of the items, attempting to return it, according to police reports.

She was arrested, posted a $300 bond, charged with larceny and is due to appear in the 35th District Court in December.

Vehicle break-in reported

A man on the 20000 block of Rippling Lane reported to township police that his SUV had been broken into sometime on the night of Nov. 17.

According to the report, his GPS device and CD player were stolen.

Man arrested at Meijer

A 41-year-old Plymouth man was arrested on Nov. 20 after store security said he was seen stealing vodka.

Security told police that the man switched the UPC barcode from an $8 bottle of vodka with one from a $32 bottle of Grey Goose vodka. He then paid for the Grey Goose at the lesser price at the register and left. Township police caught up with him and he was arrested.

Vandalism reported

A resident on the 47000 block of Manorwood Drive reported that his car had been vandalized after 9:30 p.m. of Nov. 20.

He told police he left his car parked outside of his home and returned a few hours later to discover the side door windows were shattered. Someone also struck the windshield three times.
