Attempted theft of a construction vehicle
On May 3, police responded to a call on the 41000 block of Seven Mile Road where a man reported that a construction vehicle had been moved from where it was parked, according to Northville Township police reports.
Windows in the vehicle had been broken out. The keys, the man told police, were left inside the cabin.
He also said that a part had been removed from the vehicle earlier. Because of that, the vehicle was only moved a short distance before the oil spilled out. The man told police that the oil was valued at $250.

The attempted theft, according to the police report, occurred sometime the night before.
Alleged shoplifter caught at Kohl's
A 17-year-old South Lyon woman was arrested by township police on May 5 for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $60 from .

According to police reports, the woman took items to the fitting room, removed the tags and left the store with them on. When police were called, according to the police report, she confessed to having attempted to steal a bra and dress. She was ticketed for larceny.
