Crime Report: Tires Stolen from Car, Alleged Thief Gets Away With 50 Cents

Tires, rims stolen
On April 28, a man on the 19000 block of Northridge Drive, reported to Northville Township Police reports that sometime overnight someone had stolen the tires and rims from his car.
The man said that when he checked on his car in the morning, it was found balanced on landscaping blocks. "Lugnuts were strewn on the parking lot around the vehicle," according to the police report.
Man arrested for attempting to pass bad check
A 25-year-old Detroit man was arrested on April 28 on charges of uttering and publishing. He allegedly tried to pass a bad check at the Comerica Bank in , at the Haggerty and Six Mile location.

The total amount of the fraudulent check was $921.75. The man reportedly told police he was short on money and indicated he was asked to cash the check and split the amount with a third party, according to police reports.
He told police it was the third or fourth time that day that he attempted to pass bad checks.

Tin containing 50 cents stolen from car
On April 26, at around 11 p.m., a man was spotted attempting to open vehicle doors on the 40000 block of Steepleview, near the intersection of Bradner Road.
According to police reports, the man was spotted inside a truck. The owner was contacted and found only a tin can containing 50 cents in change was missing.
Police looked for the man but he could not be found.
