Relay for Life is a 24-hour event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Before and during the event, high school students from Northville and Novi High Schools "compete" to raise money by collecting donations and having fundraisers before the event, and also have various fundraisers on-site on March 24. Cancer survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer) and caregivers for those with cancer are invited to walk in the survivor lap at 10:00 a.m. on March 24. They will receive a free breakfast and Relay for Life survivor T-shirt, and can participate in an activity. Also, a luminaria ceremony to remember all of those who have fought cancer will take place at 8:30. This event will be a great time for all, and will help us celebrate, remember, and fight back!
