This golf outing, held at the Tanglewood Golf Club in South Lyon, is a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event is named in honor of Pat Watson of Plymouth, a cancer survivor who has battled two blood cancers. Watson and her brother-in-law, Dave Jaskot of Northville, are hosting their seventh golf outing to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program, which trains people to run marathons while raising money for cancer research. This golf event will be set up in a four-person scramble format. Male and female golfers are welcome. The outing includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch, dinner and door prizes. Pre-registration and payment are required. The event's immediate goal is to raise $5,000. The long-term goal is to find a cure for all blood cancers.
