Girl's Birthday Wish: Give Gifts to Those in Need in Northville

For her sixth birthday, Joy Seabolt decided collecting gifts of food for those in need was more important than collecting gifts for herself.

The Our Lady of Victory kindergartner used her birthday to encourage friends to donate boxed and canned goods to Civic Concern, a Northville nonprofit that helps the underprivileged, according to a HometownLife report.

“I have lots of toys, and there are people who don’t have enough to eat,” Joy told HometownLife.
