Holiday Blessings in Northville

Northville is one of the many Metro Detroit’s top cities.. With Christmas and the holidays coming we get caught up and the fun and excitement and we forget how lucky we have it. We live in one of the greatest countries in the world. We have a much higher standard of living than many other people. We are blessed. If you live in the metro Detroit area we are lucky.

Sure life throws us all curve balls all the time. Life is a roller coaster. We all have our ups and downs. People that seem to have it all, sometimes have issues that we do not know about. Whether you are rich or poor you will have health problems, and death. No matter who you are you will have family issues like divorce, and kid problems. After all raising kids is an adventure in itself. There is no guidebook to raising kids that covers everything. Our kids are different and each one reacts differently. They too sometimes do not realize how lucky they have it. Living in Northville affords them one of the best school systems in the metro Detroit area. Newer schools, good teachers, and an environment that fosters them to achieve as adults. Most of the kids that graduate from Northville schools go onto college. What they do with that is up to them. But you as parents have given them the good foundation to do well in life. That is so much more than, say a child in Africa that may never see a college.

Living in Northville does not expose them to the rampant drug trade and drug culture of some of Mexico’s cities. We are lucky to live in Northville where the crime is low. There is no fear of walking down the street. You do not have to worry about being carjacked when you go to fill up your car like you would in Detroit. You home insurance and car insurance rates are lower than in Detroit. Money that you can spend else where. You are lucky. Simple things like making a decision to live in Northville has made your life better and your children’s life better.

I am not saying that living in any other city in Detroit is bad or worse, it is just that we are so lucky to live in any city of metro Detroit. We do not have car bombs going off like Syria, or Iraq. We live in a safe community where we do not have worries like that. We are lucky to have a good police force that treats all our residents equal and fair. Northville has an excellent fire department too. So this holiday season be thankful that you have all that you have and don’t worry so much about what you do not have!
