The Northville City Council on Monday night approved the purchase of 107 new toilets for the Allen Terrace apartments for seniors.
The toilets will cost $16,253.30 and will be paid from Wayne County Community Development Block Grants, said Sherry Necelis, housing director.
“The budget impact will be none,” she said. The toilets will be supplied by Lowe's of Southgate.

City's computers to be replaced, upgraded
Finance Director Sandi Wiktorowski presented the council with a proposal to purchase 29 desktop computers and two laptops and upgrade eight personal computers to Microsoft Office 2007.
In total, the purchase will cost the city $19,417.99, which was the lowest bid, from Fort Lauderdale-based Florida Micro.
According to Wiktorowski's report, the city’s five-year financial plan provides for the computer upgrades in this fiscal year.
The council also approved the purchase of software upgrades.
"In order for the new Police Department computers to have a version of Microsoft Office that is compatible with the rest of the city, it is recommended that those eight computers be upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 Professional at a total cost of $2,268.40," according to Wiktorowski's report.
