In Brief: Northville Township's Public Services Director Retires

The Northville Township Board of Trustees says goodbye to Don Weaver.

At its meeting last week, the Northville Township Board of Trustees recognized its retiring Department of Public Services Director Don Weaver.

Weaver said he’s ready to retire, but will miss working for the township.

“I worked for 26 years for a contractor that worked with the township before I came here,” he said. “So, after 40 years, I’m ready to retire.”

Township Manager Chip Snyder credited Weaver, who spent 13 years with the township, for his professionalism and his patience, as did Township Supervisor Mark Abbo.

Weaver will be replaced by Tom Casari, who recently retired from Canton Township.
