Mary Sue Coleman to Speak at Dinner Supporting Local UM Students
Former University of Michigan president will meet with area alumni at the U-M Club of Greater Northville's annual scholarship fundraiser.

Former University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman will be the featured guest speaker at the U-M Club of Greater Northville’s annual scholarship fundraiser dinner on Wednesday, April 29 at Laurel Manor in Livonia.
During her 12 years as the university’s 13th president, and the first female in that role, Dr. Coleman left her mark on campus – from facilities, to fundraising, to research. Time magazine named her one of the nation’s top 10 university presidents. But perhaps the Michigan community will best remember Dr. Coleman for her personal touch, and the impact she had on the lives of so many students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
The event also commemorates a milestone event -- the 25th anniversary of the U-M Club of Greater Northville. The club hosts social, cultural, athletic, professional development, and community service events for U-M alumni throughout communities in western Wayne and Oakland counties. Since 1990, the club has awarded $150,000 in scholarship money to area students attending the University of Michigan.
