Huizenga owned Dane Systems of Stevensville until March 18, when it was sold on to New York-based Crestview Holdings.

The checks, based on years of service with the company, ranged from $500 to $10,000. Some longtime workers received up to $50,000.

A letter to the employees said, in part: “You have built an amazing company, an innovative company, with a reputation as a leading capital equipment designer and manufacturer throughout the world.”
