Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists Completes Transition to ATI Physical Therapy

Northville, MI – A vibrant, new ATI Physical Therapy sign, and staff decked out in red and black clothing now welcome patients and visitors to the former Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists (MRS) clinic in Northville.  Having joined ATI in August of 2013, the former MRS has completed the transition to ATI Physical Therapy.

The Northville clinic, which shares space with the Running Fit store at 17783 Haggerty, provides hands-on physical therapy and therapeutic exercise to treat orthopedic pain and injury. ATI Northville is also home to The Running Institute, a premier training and coaching resource for runners from beginners to Olympic level athletes.

“The transition has not been without a few bumps, but without question 99% of our transition requirements have gone amazingly well, and I am particularly happy that nearly all of our people decided to stay on board with us at ATI,” said Rodney Goble, president & CEO, Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists and vice president, ATI Physical Therapy.

“I have lived and raised two children in Northville over the last 15 years. Nothing is more satisfying than bringing the high quality physical therapy that ATI offers to my community,” said Michelle Krings, PT and co-clinical director of ATI Northville. “Being involved in multiple community and school events has allowed me to keep a pulse on the beat of Northville. My involvement with such events has afforded me the opportunity to fulfill my passion of working with young athletes.”

Co-Clinic Director Kristin Kepsel, PT, notes that what she enjoys most about being a physical therapist in Northville is the friendly relationships she has established.  “When I see an individual out and about, whether at a race or the grocery store, they are always very sweet and welcoming with their greetings,” said Kepsel. “It also feels very rewarding when I see a former patient successfully completing a goal at a local 5/10k!”

Established in 1996,  ATI has continued to flourish by distinguishing itself in the industry and continually improving and expanding its services.  A few examples:

The largest employer of athletic trainers in the nation, ATI’s Sports Medicine program provides on-site athletic training services for universities, high schools, clubs, and professional athletic teams.

The F.I.R.S.T. ™ work conditioning program has successfully returned more than 10,000 injured workers to their careers over the past 10 years, earned international recognition for its results, and has been published in over 35 studies.

Unique in the industry, ATI has a dedicated in-house Research Department to improve rehabilitation outcomes through basic science, transitional research, and evidence-based medicine.

ATI’s proprietary Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform uses standardized clinical tools (pre, concurrent, and post-treatment) to inform treatment planning and post-discharge. Aggregate EMR data is used for research studies and clinical quality improvement.

ATI remains committed to giving back to local and global communities.  The ATI Foundation, a non-profit organization, provides funding and resources to physically impaired children. ATI MissionWorks supports healthcare mission trips worldwide in areas where there is a need.
