The mother of a 13-year-old girl told township police that she caught a man who had followed them into a Barnes & Noble Booksellers store a month ago in the act of upskirting, WJBK, Channel 2, reports. He denied the allegations when confronted and left the store.
Det. Sgt. Paul Tennies said upskirting is a growing trend. Images are normally posted on social media sites, and that means the suspect could face child pornograpy charges. At least two states, Ohio and California, have laws against upskirting and its counterpart, “downblousing.”
