Northville Company Helps Build Engine for Efficient 3-Wheeler (Video)

A Northville company worked with a Troy-based vehicle manufacturer to rework the internal combustion engine as part of an efficient three-wheeler, according to a press release.

IAV Group built a 0.9 liter, 3-cylinder prototype engine that is part of a new three-wheeled, personal vehicle Elio Motors is making, the release stated. The engine helps create a vehicle that should get 84 mpg and hit 100 mph on the speedometer, the release added.

Elio plans to put the three-wheeler on the market in the first half of 2016, and it will cost $6,800, the release stated.
