Northville contestant to compete for the title of Miss Michigan 2016
Laura Esqueda will represent Northville in the upcoming Miss Michigan pageant

Laura Esqueda of Northville, MI will compete for the title of MISS MICHIGAN USA 2016. The 2016 MISS MICHIGAN USA competition is slated for September 25 – 26, 2015 in Port Huron, Michigan. Port Huron will soon welcome over 100 outstanding young women representing every corner and every major city in Michigan.
Laura grew up in Northville and attended Silver Springs Elementary, Meads Mill Middle School and graduated from Northville High School in 2013. She is currently a sophomore at Wayne State University, majoring in Creative Writing.
Laura competed in the Miss Michigan pageant last year and did incredibly well by ending the pageant as 4th runner up.

The final competition, which will be held at the McMorran Place Entertainment Center Saturday night September 26, 2015, consists of three proportional segments: evening gown, fitness/swimsuit and the final question.
The winner, MISS MICHIGAN USA 2016, will be announced claiming the title and prize list which includes, travel, wardrobe, college scholarships, and the opportunity to support charitable causes - in particular those dedicated to breast/ovarian cancer survivors. Additionally, the winner will have the honor of representing the state of Michigan in the ultimate pageant – MISS USA.
