Head Cook/Baker & General Manager:
Duties include from-scratch baking (cookies, scones, biscotti, crepe batter) and cooking (soups, deli salads, salad dressings) as well as inventory and ordering of produce, paper products, coffee and tea. As general manager, employee will also learn all other food-related duties such as ringing up orders, making espresso drinks and other beverages, assembling sandwiches and crepes, etc., so that he/she is able to help out when needed. The general manager oversees the cleanliness of the cafe, kitchen and public lower level and tasks may be delegated to other staff as necessary. This job is full time (40 hours/ week) and shifts begin at 7:00 am.

Café Employee:
Duties primarily consist of taking customer orders at the register and assembling items to-order (espresso drinks, sandwiches, salads, crepes, etc.). Café employees are also responsible for food prep/ stock, busing tables, washing dishes and general cleanliness of the store (this includes daily deep cleaning tasks, such as dusting and mopping). Employees will also learn basic kitchen tasks in order to support the Head Cook. We are looking for well-rounded, enthusiastic, individuals who are up for any task that may be set before them.
