Police Escort Naked Shopper from Grocery Store

A shopper stood at the meat counter, then lay down in the aisle before police escorted him from Oakland County grocery store.

Novi police said a 61-year-old man found lying naked in a meat department aisle of a grocery store Saturday was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

“It was evident to officers that the man was experiencing some kind of medical condition,” Assistant Police Chief Victor Lauria said, according to The Oakland Press.

Police were called to the Kroger store at Grand River and Beck roads about 7 p.m. Saturday. The man was speaking unintelligibly, Lauria said.

A shopper in the store at the time, Brandon Boudreau, of Milford, took pictures of the man as he talked with an employee at the meat counter and posted them on his Facebook page. The post had been shared more than 1,000 times by Monday evening.
