The ASSUMED and EXPECTED details of life's social rules.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a social communication and language disorder.  A person on the autism spectrum are naturally challenged with social cognition.  The most basic detail to a social situation usually needs to be "taught"  to a person on the spectrum. 

If you say phrases such as these then very likely a hidden curriculum situation has been violated:

• I shouldn't have to tell you, but...
• It should be obvious that...
• Everyone knows that...
• No one ever...

Violating one of these hidden curriculum situations will make a person appear odd and a social outcast i.e. "when and where to pick your nose", "when and how long to stare at a female", "on the job site recognizing when a customer needs your assistance", "when and how often to share in a classroom setting".
