Snow and Ice Storm Possible Tuesday Night

A winter storm watch has been set by the National Weather Service for Tuesday night.

Spring may have officially begun, but the National Weather Service forecasts that winter may squeeze in one last storm – bringing with it up to six inches of snow.

The NWS issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday night for southeastern Michigan, including Wayne, Oakland, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.

The "moisture-rich low-pressure system" is expected to develop Tuesday in the Plains states. The mix of rain, freezing rain and sleet is expected to hit Michigan on Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday, according to the NWS.
