Week in Review: News Round-Up

This week we explored a bill that would draw much-needed funds to Northville schools, Downtown's fairy doors, a new business in the outskirts of Northville and more.

 In our first week, there was plenty to jump right into. Here's a few that drew the most attention:

  • We featured a story on  that has moved into Northville. TSC, which produces parts for lithium batteries, is expected to bring 279 jobs to the area. 
  • Northville schools are one signature away from much-needed funds coming to the district. If the governor signs , six Michigan schools including Northville will receive additional funds starting next year from $8,064 to $8,335 per student.
  •  Last weekend was busy in Northville. Main Street was shut down for the Christmas market, Mayor Chris Johnson gave Santa a key to the city and several groups marched in the . If you missed it, we posted video, photos and a story about the holiday weekend events.
  • Two Northville residents teamed up with a friend to bring an added attraction to the downtown area - a pixie-sized attraction. The idea for , which adorn downtown businesses, has since spurred a series of books, posters and more.
  • The , in its second year of existence, placed 4th and 5th in the Great Lakes Dance Championship last weekend in Rochester Hills. The team performed a hip-hop and jazz routine which garnered the judges' favor.
