Woman Struck by Mail Truck on Main Street in Northville

No serious injuries were reported in the accident Wednesday afternoon.

A woman crossing Main Street at the intersection of Center Street was "bumped" by a U.S. mail truck shortly after 1:30 p.m. today.

Police chief Gary Goss said that the woman fell, scraped her hands and hurt her knee. Her injuries did not apear to be serious and she refused further medical treatment at the scene.

Goss said the driver of the mail truck was cited with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
