12 Oaks Mall in Novi Evacuated After Robbery
A smash-and-grab robbery at the 12 Oaks Mall led to a huge police response.

NOVI, MI — Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi was evacuated Saturday after a reported smash-and-grab robbery.
Novi police chief David Molloy tweeted that officers were investigating a robbery and said there was no active shooter at the mall. The robbery took place at Tapper's Jewelry. Multiple media reports, including the Detroit Free Press, that cite Novi police say the mall was evacuated and Molloy wrote it is currently on lockdown.
Reports say no shots were actually fired inside the mall.

On Twitter, multiple patrons at the mall reported a heavy police presence and some speculated that a shooting had taken place.
