NOVI, MI — A "one-of-a-kind" Raising Cane's restaurant opens Monday at 26245 Novi Road across from the Novi Town Center in Novi.
Doors at 10 a.m. and those in line earlier will have a chance to win free Cane's for a year in a drawing. Restaurant officials will collect entries between 8 and 9 a.m. Monday. Customers must be 13 or older and present to win. Officials will draw 20 names.
As part of the opening day festivities, Raising Cane's will also donate $1,000 to the Novi Youth Association.
The community-focused restaurant will celebrate Novi's history. It will feature carefully curated photographs and memorabilia that pay tribute to the city's history.

Raising Cane's was founded 30 years ago and headquartered in Louisiana. It is named after founder Todd Graves' yellow Labrador.
The fast-food chain is best known for their chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw and "Cane's sauce."
Raising Cane's opened its first metro Detroit spot in Canton last year. There are also restaurants in Ann Arbor and in East Lansing, across Grand River from Michigan State University.
The new Novi restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight, with extended hours Friday and Saturday from 10 to 1 a.m.
