• MDOT I-96 Flex Route project in Oakland County recognized nationally (michigan.gov) — Drivers in Novi are seeing faster, safer trips on I-96 thanks to MDOT's award-winning Flex Route system between Kent Lake Road and the I-275/I-696/M-5 interchange. By opening upgraded shoulder lanes during peak congestion and using real-time cameras and signs, the project has sharply cut crashes and delays, especially for daily commuters.
