Man, 46, Found Dead Inside Novi Home: Police

NOVI, MI — Novi police are investigating after a man was found dead Monday.

Officers found the 46-year-old man dead inside his home located in the Oakland Glens Mobile Home Park near 13 Mile Rd. and Novi roads, according to police.

Investigators were called to the home after the man didn't show up for work. They said he lived alone and that there was no one inside the home when they arrived.

Social media rumors speculated that gunshots were heard in the area, but police said investigators have not confirmed that any shots were fired.

"At this time, investigators have not confirmed that gunshots were fired or that the reports are related to this death investigation," said a statement from Novi police. "Based on the information available to investigators, the social media, reports do not align with the preliminary timeline of the investigation."

It was unclear how the man died. Police did not release any other details.

Police are conducting an investigation into the death with assistance from the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory.
