Today's riddle: What is clean when it is black and dirty when it is white? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Three sheep give birth to twins at Tollgate Farm (candgnews.com) — At MSU Tollgate Farm in Novi, three ewes each delivered twin lambs over Labor Day, giving local 4-H kids new animals to raise and show. Novi sixth-grader Dottie Brigham shares how working with sheep teaches perseverance, responsibility, and even how to handle the emotions of selling a market lamb, offering families a window into this hands-on youth program.
2. Register now for Oct. 16 Sastry Parkinson Disease Symposium (wayne.edu) — A Parkinson disease symposium is coming to the Sheraton Novi on Oct. 16, offering updates on new treatments and practical guidance for patients, caregivers, and medical professionals. Attendees can earn continuing education credits, hear from Wayne State neurology experts, and join a caregiver and expert Q&A panel, all in a single-day program running from breakfast through afternoon closing remarks.
3. Three weeks to go: What's on at Automotive Design & In-Cabin Expo North America 2026 (automotiveinteriorsworld.com) — Novi will host the Automotive Design & In-Cabin Expo North America 2026 from October 27–29, now folded into the broader Vehicle Tech Week North America. 4. King Von Autopsy: Dissecting the Final Medical Report Behind the Tragic Murder (fsu.edu) — Novi is the backdrop for a detailed look at the autopsy of Chicago drill rapper King Von, who was killed in a 2020 shooting at a local hotel. The piece explains how Cook County examiners documented his gunshot wounds, how those findings support legal cases and family questions, and why autopsies clarify medical facts but not the deeper causes of gun violence.
5. SPE ACCE 2026 Highlighted Advancing Mobility With Composites (compositesworld.com) — Novi recently hosted the 2026 SPE Automotive Composites Conference & Expo, drawing industry and academic leaders to share advances in composite materials for future mobility.
