Minette Van Wyk showed her love for children by helping out Friday evening, March 8, at the Costick Center where the City of Farmington Hills held its annual Princess and Super Heroes event. This event has been very popular over the last several years and over 350 adults and children attended.
Minette was kept busy the entire evening and did a great job painting many of the little girls nails. She commented how adorable the young girls looked, all dressed up in their princess gowns and how patient they were while she was polishing their nails.
Minette had an opportunity to explain to some of the older children (and parents) where Namibia is located and why she was here so far from home. She enjoyed her first volunteer experience and hopes to be able to take part in more volunteer opportunities during her year here with Au Pair in America.
