Carolin, a graduate of Detroit Catholic Central, finished sixth with a time of 4:06.53, according to a Detroit Mercy press release, in temperatures hovering around 40 degrees. He is the son of Bill and Laurie Carolin and majoring in software engineering. Teams from Adrian, Concordia (Mich.), Hillsdale, IUPUI, Macomb Community College, Marygrove, Michigan, Oakland, Wayne State, Western Michigan, as well as Eastern Michigan participated in the two-day event.
