Child Babysitter Safety & CPR Class

Novi Community Schools is offering a child babysitter safety and CPR course. Students will learn to care for infants, toddlers and young children as well as how to start their own babysitting business. They'll also learn emergency procedures, what to do when a child acts up, when a stranger knocks, diaper-changing and feeding methods, basic first aid and CPR. This American Safety and Health Institute and Medic First Aid class requires that children be 11 years old, and they'll receive a Babysitter Safety certification card. Children that are 9 and 10 years of age can participate in the class and receive a CPR certification card and a wall certificate for participating in the babysitter portion of the class.

Class costs $55 for residents, or $60 for non-residents. An additional material fee of $16 is due the instructor on the day of the class. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign the participant in and out of class.
