Children's "Appreciation Day" at Kensington Metropark

Take the kids to any Metropark on this day for outdoor fun as the Huron-Clinton Metroparks celebrate “Children’s Appreciation Day.” 

The parks are offering free use of selected facilities and special programs.

Special offers and activities to be held on “Children’s Appreciation Day" at Kensington Metropark include:

  • One free hour of rowboat or paddleboat use for children 17 years and under with an accompanying adult.
  • One free ride on the “Island Queen II” pontoon boat for children 17 years and under with one paid adult.
  • One free hayride for children 17 years and under, at the Farm Center, with one paid adult.
  • One free round of golf per junior golfer, 20 and under, after noon, when accompanied by an adult paying for one round with a cart. 
  • “Kensington Discovery Hike,” 2 p.m., Nature Center. Wear your hiking boots and explore some of the less traveled areas of Kensington. For ages 6 and up. Fee: $3 per person. Preregistration required.

A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $25 annually for regular admission, $15 annually for seniors, or $5 daily.
