Kensington Metropark has a Ecological Restoration Volunteer Workday planned. Volunteer and you'll be helping remove autumn olive and other invasive shrubs from forest and prairie areas at the Kensington Nature Center.
Participants should meet at the nature center parking lot at 10 a.m., and the work wraps up at 1 p.m. Park entry is free for volunteers.
Tools, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.
