Northville Parks & Recreation and the Vietnam Veterans of America-Plymouth/Canton Chapter 528 hold their 16th Annual Fishing Derby, from 8 a.m.-noon at Hines Park-Waterford Bend Area.
The Middle Rouge River will be stocked with 10- to 12-inch rainbow trout, and prizes will be awarded in several categories. From 7:30-8 a.m. registrations will be processed; children 12 and younger will fish and compete from 8-10 a.m., with prizes following at 10:30 a.m.; and from 10 a.m.-noon, all ages will be allowed to fish.
Everyone must bring their own equipment and bait, and there is a three-fish limit.
