Lecture Addresses Impact of Bipolar Disorder on the Family

Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) and Novi Public Library present OPENING MINDS: a three-part interactive program series on brain science and mental health.

The series will be held Jan. 30, 7-8:30 p.m.; Feb. 22, 7-8:30 p.m.; and March 22, 1-2:30 p.m.

More than 2 million people in the U.S. are diagnosed with bipolar disorder. At this lecture series, you will learn more about this mental illness, its relationship to substance abuse, early signs and symptoms, how to get treatment, and how to respond to people who struggle with mental health issues, (especially those who deny they have an illness). This is an interactive class.
