The Importance of Being Earnest

Ernest has two women vying for his affections-problem is, he doesn’t exist! Jack Worthing is a pillar of the community.  For years, he’s also pretended to have an irresponsible black-sheep brother named Ernest living in London who needs bailing out once in a while. Jack’s trips to London allow him to pretend to be Ernest and do as he likes, and that works out well until Jack falls in love with Gwendolen Fairfax, the cousin of his best friend, Algernon Moncrieff. When Algernon is let in on the whole story, including Cecily’s fascination with Ernest, he decides to become Ernest and  shows up at Jack’s country place, creating a whole new set of hilarious problems for Jack, Algernon, Cecily, Gwendolyn and everyone in this must-see, classic and timeless comedy.
