TOASTED OAK GRILL & MARKET HOSTS SWINE & WINE BUTCHERY CLASS

Toasted Oak Grill & Market will hold Swine & Wine, a butchery class hosted by Chef Steven Grostick, from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28. This is the first in a series of Swine & Wine classes. Additional classes will be announced at a later date.

During the Swine & Wine class, Chef Grostick will demonstrate how to use different cuts of meat when cooking at home. Chef Grostick will be welcoming diners to share his culinary skills and passion with food aficionados and those who just love to cook. Attendees will enjoy tastings of food and specialty Michigan wine during the class.

Chef Grostick will educate attendees in a fun and informative environment. Topics include basic butchery, where meat comes from, how and when to use it. Attendees also will learn about different cuts of meat to purchase at their local market. Chef Grostick will speak to the most seasonal of all meats as well as the most interesting animals he has worked with during his culinary career.

During the class, attendees will acquire different cooking techniques and knife proficiencies to elevate their at-home cooking experience and impress family and friends.
