Fox Run Residents Visit Michigan State Capitol

NOVI, MI (May 29, 2015) -- Members of Fox Run’s resident-run Political Awareness Committee, and guests, this month spent a day in Lansing, MI, as guests of State Senator Mike Kowall, who presented them with a Michigan flag that will be flown at the retirement community’s campus.

They were introduced in the Senate session and had lunch in the Senator Kowall’s office. They met with State Representative Kathy Crawford and were Introduced on House floor.

Their VIP tour of the Michigan State Capitol included a chat with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who welcomed them to Lansing. Governor Snyder has made frequent visits to Fox Run to hold Town Hall meetings.

They also had a brief chat with Lt. Governor Brian Calley before returning to Novi. They are pictured in front of the Capitol building.
