Fox Run's New Cafe Sheds Light on "Greatest Generation's" Snack Habits

The newly-renovated Hunt Club Café at Fox Run retirement community in Novi is shedding light on the snack preferences of “The Greatest Generation:”

The most ordered pizza is the BBQ chicken pizza (the pizza oven is set at 465 degrees and cooks pizza in less than six minutes)

The most ordered classic sandwich is a tie between the Turkey Club and the Turkey Reuben

The most ordered cookie is the Chocolate Chip, but the Sugar-coated Double Chocolate is gaining ground

The most popular beverage is all the teas: Raspberry, Sweet and Unsweetened

The most ordered salad green is Romaine

The most ordered salad items are Red and Green Pepper, Black Olives, Cheddar Cheese, Bleu Cheese, Cottage Cheese and Pineapple chunks

The most ordered dressing is Ranch

The most ordered ice cream is Cappuccino Crunch

The Café is set up as a scramble system ,which means there are no lines. There are five stations : Deli/Grill, Pizza/Pasta, Chef Creations, Salads/Sweets and the Beverage station/Grab & Go.

The Café open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for a Breakfast buffet consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, potato pancakes and variety muffins. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Dinner is served from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Fox Run, which has more than 1,000 residents, is managed by Erickson Living.
