Golfer Dies After Being Stung 20 Times at Treetops Resort
Darryl Dever, 64, of Powell, Ohio, died from breathing complications after bees attacked him while he was searching the woods for a ball.
A golfer from Ohio died after being stung at least 20 times by bees at a Gaylord resort, according to a Petoskey News report.
Darryl Dever, 64, of Powell, Ohio, was stung in the head and shoulders while he searched for a ball in the woods by the golf course at Treetops Resort, the report stated. He died of breathing complications, the report added.

Dever wasn’t known to have allergies to bee stings, the report stated. The resort hasn’t had any reports of previous incidents involving bees, the report added.
