Greg Meehan is Named Fox Run’s Leader of the Year

NOVI, MI (February 7, 2017) -- Greg Meehan has been named Fox Run’s Leader of the Year. Greg, who resides in Northville, has served as the retirement community’s Finance Director for four years and has made a tremendous impact on the community. His influence reaches far beyond the Finance Department as he actively supports all Fox Run departments from an operational perspective. Greg will be recognized at the Erickson Living Annual Meeting in March in Baltimore, MD, where he will receive his award.

Greg has an insatiable desire to improve upon what is currently being done. He is described by his colleagues as being an outside-the-box thinker who is always looking to raise the bar. Greg has strong relationships and partners with peers and departments to enhance performance. He is a natural teacher who loves to coach and see others succeed. He is a big picture thinker who also loves to get down into the minutia and details.

One colleague said, “I really appreciate the way Greg pushes the envelope and helps us to see things in a different way. He often asks “why” we are doing it a certain way and challenges us to think how we can do it differently and better. I think it would be easy for a Finance Director to act like a consultant but Greg is consistently in the details with us and problem-solving.”

Greg hosts a weekly sports show on the Fox Run community’s closed-circuit TV station. He loves to make people laugh and always has a kind word for people he encounters at Fox Run. He is very approachable and has a way of putting people at ease and making them feel comfortable. He is always willing to lend a hand.

Prior to joining Fox Run, Greg was a Senior Vice President with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global career transition and leadership development organization where he was responsible for the operations of the Central region of the United States.

Greg started his career as an auditor with Plante & Moran where he earned his Certification in Public Accounting. He also spent seven years as the Controller for a local IT staffing company. He has an extensive background in systems and technology along with his operational and financial experience. Greg received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
