Novi Makes List of Michigan's 50 Safest Communities

Where’s one if the safest places to live in Michigan?

Novi, which ranked 30th on the list of Michigan’s 50 safest cities released Wednesday the national security organization SafeWise.

“Equidistance between Detroit and Ann Arbor is Novi, a city of nearly 50,000 residents who enjoy one of the most diverse locales in Michigan. More than 1,000 acres of parkland is available to residents and visitors offering a full range of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and fishing.

“One of the most used attractions in Novi is the Novi Ice Arena, a multi-use location with two NHL-size ice rinks, seating for 750 fans, as well as locker rooms, equipment rental, and a pro shop.

“For anyone looking for a great place to raise a family, Novi should be highly considered. It’s large enough to offer residents all the amenities and services one would expect from a city this size, but a small enough feel that a sense of community shines through. Its low crime rates are the icing on the cake, as the town reported no murders or homicides in 2012.”
