Novi School Board Seeks Candidates for Board Vacancy
The term expires at the end of the year. An election will be held in November to fill the six-year term.
The Novi Board of Education is seeking candidates for an unexpired school board term after Shari Lebo submitted her resignation earlier this month.
The school district said in a news release that the board will fill the vacancy by Aug. 7.
Applications will be accepted through Friday, July 11.

Residents must be United States citizens to apply, must live in the Novi School District and must be registered voters.
Interested citizens can contact the superintendent's office at (248) 449-1204 for information and then submit an application at the Educational Services Building, 25345 Taft Road, Novi, MI 48374. The application can be found on the district web site.

The Board of Education will review applications from July 12-16. The Board will hold public interviews at its Board Meeting on Thursday, July 17, and then vote on Mrs. Lebo’s replacement at its next meeting on Thursday, August 7.
It is an expectation of the Novi School Board that all potential appointees will file to run for election to a full term at the Nov. 4 election.
The trustee seat is a 6-year term. To run for this office you must:
- Pick up forms at the Novi City Clerk's Office.
- Pay $100 or submit 40 signatures from school district voters
- The petition must be filed at the OAKLAND COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE, 1200 N. Telegraph, Pontiac, MI 48341 (248) 858-0563.
