Novi Supt.: Enough With State Taking From School Aid Fund
Superintendent Steve Matthews wants Michigan's lawmakers to stop overstepping when it comes to the fund.

Novi Community Schools Superintendent Steve Matthews thinks it’s unfair that the Michigan’s governor and legislature are using the state’s School Aid Fund for things other than education and schools.
Here’s what he had to write in a column Wednesday at HometownLife:
“[T]he governor and the Legislature are continuing to raid the state School Aid Fund to pay for policies that deprive the state’s General Fund of revenue. They are balancing the state’s General Fund on the backs of our schools.”
