Kristiana Flowers of Novi is one of nine preachers’ daughters cast in this season’s show, shot on location in Mexico, where the girls are doing missionary work.

While the girls are physically put to the test with each of their mission assignments, they are also challenged emotionally by the temptation of their newfound freedom, according to a press release.

Dating, substance abuse and anger issues are just a few of the real-life challenges that will be tackled throughout the season, and will hopefully act as a launching pad for teens and parents to open the conversation, according to the show’s producers.

The youngest daughter of the Rev. Kenneth James Flowers of the Greater New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Kristiana, 18, has felt the pressure to be the perfect preacher’s daughter. But through all her troubles, she said she has always kept God in her heart.

The show airs at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
