Open for Business: Remodeled Gander Mountain Store Gets Novi Ready For The Great Outdoors
Gander Mountain, retailer for all things outdoors, celebrated the revamp through a three-day event by hosting multiple in-store events.
Some of Novi’s most adventurous men and women lined the sides of the newly remodeled Gander Mountain store for its grand re-opening event at West Oaks this past weekend.
Gander Mountain, retailer for all things outdoors, celebrated the revamp through a three-day event by hosting multiple in-store events for the community. The festivities included kids events, prize giveaways and celebrity appearances.
“It was a great fun-filled family adventure this weekend,” said Robert Bersila, General Manager of the Novi Gander Mountain store. “Bassmaster pro-anglers joined in, local experts taught tips and tricks and Novi gave a big welcome to some outdoor celebrities.”

Troy Landry, Star of History’s Swamp People, and Nick Mundt, Host of Outdoor Channel’s Michael Waddell’s Bone Collector, both signed autographs for fans as they walked through the store. Elite Bassmaster Anglers, including Kendall Ulsh, Matt Herren, Cliff Pace, Fletcher Shryock and Jason Christie, offered demos and showed off their favorite products.
Kids were also invited to design their own fishing lure, build their own calls and learn to cast a fishing line, while parents enjoyed free line-winding during the Berkley Trilene Happy Hour.

Rushing to see the renovations, the first 500 shoppers received a free scratch-off card with some huge prizes and could also register to win a $500 Columbia® shopping spree.
“Gander Mountain is the place for outdoor enthusiasts in the Novi area to come for fishing, hunting and gearing up for their outdoor activities,” said Bersila. “Our new look and feel will now complement our employees’ and customers’ experiences in the outdoors.”
