• Novi measures real estate recovery with the hottest Zip Codes in the United States (Realtor.com).

Other Metro Communities promote initiatives raising millage rates and levying new taxes.

• Under Mayor Gatt, Novi has cut its millage rate decreasing taxes, TWICE!

Other Metro Communities are cutting essential services such as Fire and Police. Added services, such as libraries, have services and hours cut to the bone. (Detroit’s demolished library pictures went viral.)

• Novi is highly ranked in the State in essential services. Per USA.COM it is the safest city in Michigan over 50,000 in population. Novi built a new world class Library and has expanded that Libraries operating hours.

Other Metro Communities are closing and tearing down Shopping Malls.

• Novi’s destination Twelve Oaks Mall has expanded, added another anchor store and wing, and other retailers have moved to Novi. Novi has added diverse restaurants and businesses.

Other Metro Communities have shuttered school buildings and many private and parochial schools have either consolidated or closed.

• Novi Residents enjoy highly ranked public schools. Novi Catholic Central and Franklin Road Academy are thriving. A new St. Catherine of Siena High School (Catholic girls) has been built right next to Catholic Central. In addition diverse Novi communities are serviced by specialty schools such as the Japanese School of Detroit.

Then you add a the successful State Fair in Novi donating millions to charity, an expanded convention center, multiple festivals celebrating Novi’s diversity, a growing parks system, an expanding industrial base . . .well you get the idea.

You don’t change coaches when you are winning Super Bowls! Meanwhile a block of candidates are supporting initiatives to make Novi look like “Other Metro Communities”.
