Registration Open for Novi Summer Sports Camps

Registration is now open for Novi Athletics Sports Camps and Clinics this summer. Many of the clinics are led by coaches and athletes.

Registration can only be done online through the use of Total Gate Solutions. Log onto the Novi Athletics website and click on the Summer Camps tab. This is where you will pay the fee. Please remember to print your ticket when complete. You must bring your ticket to camp to ensure participation. Contact the camp directors/coaches via the email address provided with any questions.

The camps offered are as follows:

Basketball

Lady Wildcats Basketball Camp

Come be a part of the back to back to back 2010, 2011, and 2012 KLAA Central Division Champions Basketball Camp! Emphasis will be placed on all game phases including dribbling, shooting, passing, pivoting, faking, rebounding, team play, sportsmanship, and an introduction to the Lady Wildcats offensive and defensive schemes. Camp Director will be Bill Kelp, Lady Wildcat Varsity Coach at Novi High School. Gym clothes are required. Awards and trophies will be given for individual and team competitions. All participants will receive a T-shirt and outdoor basketball.

Novi Wildcats Boys Basketball Camp

The 2012 Novi Wildcats Basketball Camp Staff will blend coaching and teaching to make the camp a valuable experience for all of the campers. In addition to the development of their basketball skills and athletic ability, all campers will be given the opportunity to build upon their own personal attitudes toward the game and life. They will learn about roles and responsiblities within the context of the "TEAM". They will share in success that comes from desire, determination, dedication, and discipline.  They will learn how to win...how to deal with losing and...the Campers WILL have lots of FUN!

Cheer

Summer Cheer Clinic

The Novi Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting another set of clinics. The clinic will run for 6 hours each day, and will be $100 for all 4 days. Lunch will be provided each day (Subway and pizza). T-shirts are available on a first-come first-serve basis for $15 each. Join us on the final day for a showing of what everyone has learned at 2:30 p.m. Don't forget your cameras! A variety of shirts and other items will be available starting from: $5-$15.

Competitive Swim

Camp 1-Intro to Competitive Swimming

A technique camp to introduce the exciting sport of swimming. All participants must bring swim suit (no swimming trunks for boys or bikinis for girls), goggles and swim cap.

• When: July 9-13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Who: Any swimmer (boy or girl) 4th through 6th grade who has already taken formal swim lessons and can reasonably swim without the aid of a coach in the pool with them.

Camp 2-Advanced Competitive Swimming

A technique camp to sharpen the competitive swimming skills. All participants must bring swim suit (no swimming trunks for boys or bikinis for girls), goggles and swim cap.

• When: July 16–20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Who: Any swimmer (boy or girl) MS or HS who want to brush up on their technique or learn a new sport.

Field Hockey

The Novi Field Hockey team would like to invite all girls from Novi and the surrounding schools who are going into 9th through 12th grades to join us for a four day camp. If you'd like to get a jump on the fall and spend time with your teammates mastering skills, competing in small games and scrimmaging, then this is the camp for you!

Field Hockey 101

The Novi Field Hockey team would like to invite all girls from Novi and the surrounding schools who are going into 6th through 10th grades to join us for a four day basic skills camp. We hope you will join us, get a jump start on the fall and give this exciting sport a try. No prior experience necessary. All Participants are responsible to bring their own: mouth guard, shin guards, athletic shoes (cleats, court shoes, or runnning shoes)  and water bottle.  If you have a field hockey stick, please bring it with you, if you do not we will have some available to borrow while at camp.

Advanced Goalkeeping

Calling all Field Hockey Goalkeepers!  Come learn advanced goalkeeping skills at this local 3 day camp.  Coach Amy Kilgore will take you through advanced skills, decision making, communication and footwork.  Please join us for this unique camp solely focused on goalkeepers. All participants are responsible for bringing their own goalkeeping equipment and water bottle.

• When: June 25-28 from 12:30-3 p.m.
• Who: Girls high school goalkeepers with at least one year of experience
• Where: Novi High School Field Hockey Field-the field is south of NHS between softball and soccer practice field

Skill & Drills Camp

Youth Football Camp

Emphasis on passing game and fundamentals associated with passing game. Offensive line technique pass protection & zone blocking emphasized. Wide receiver catching techniques & proper route running emphasized. A focus on QB's throwing mechanics & reading base coverages. 7 on 7 games for skill players; 7 on 7 games for offensive & defensive linemen. Defensive skills emphasized will include tackling, technique and scheme.

Pom Pon

Pom Pon Summer Kids Clinic

Come be a part of the Novi Pompon Summer Kids Clinic! State champion coaches with the help of the award-winning Novi pompon teams will instruct kids from all ages a pom pon routine and kickline along with basic pom & dance skills. All participants will receive a Novi Pompon Clinic t-shirt if they are signed up by August 9th.

Novi Volleyball Camp

Whether you have played previously and want to hone your skills for your upcoming season or if you are a youngster who has never played before, the highly successful Novi Wildcat Volleyball Program has something for you. Sessions will be divided in order to provide age and skill level appropriate coaching. Come experience the game for the first time or brush up on your skills before the fall season. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
