• Oakland County SWAT training underway this week (fox2detroit.com) — Expect to see SWAT vehicles, drones, and hear simulated gunfire Thursday around Lake Orion's Pine Tree Center, where the Oakland County Sheriff's Office is running scheduled training drills. Officials stress there's no danger to the public and ask residents not to call 911 about the activity, which is part of a countywide training series.
   

• Lake Orion village dissolution proposal will not appear on November ballot (theoaklandpress.com) — Lake Orion residents pushing to dissolve the village won't see their proposal on this November's ballot, after a judge dismissed an emergency motion and county officials cited illegal advisory ballot language. The case now sits in the Michigan Court of Appeals, leaving petition signatures valid but the village's future structure and next steps in limbo.
